Prime Minister's Policy Bodies
General Policy Coordination Unit
This unit consists of a director, who is also the secretary of the Council of Ministers, and advisors.
The director works with the Prime Minister to determine a schedule of national and international activities for the upcoming political year. This schedule is updated to reflect changes in circumstances.
The unit coordinates, monitors and evaluates:
- government policy
- relations with Parliament
- institutional reforms
- the Consultation Committee
- trade union negotiations
Policy Unit
The Policy Unit consists of a director and a number of advisors responsible for security and international relations. They work closely with the General Policy Coordination Unit.
Secretariat
The Prime Minister’s Secretariat is made up of his spokespersons, his personal secretaries and a number of operational employees, and provides the head of the government with direct political and practical support.
